Verifier Corp awards CITI contract to develop quality control automation system
Toronto, January 3, 2005: The complexity of conventional quality control processes in large scale civil engineering projects can lead to communication failures that jeopardize the trust between client and contractor. Tracking procedural adherence and accountability using paper is labour intensive, inefficient and often ineffective. In a post 9/11 economy of increased regulatory scrutiny, incomplete and non-authoritative quality and safety documentation can lead to delays, rework and cost overruns.
Verifier Corp, Ontario’s premiere quality control automation consultant, has designed an alternative to paper-based systems that promises to save construction and maintenance services vendors millions of dollars . Verifier is a digital workflow management and quality control tool that helps tradesmen execute, track and control the progress of complex procedural work and quality control activities at the workface.
Verifier Corp. has commissioned Consolidated Information Technologies’ Business Solutions Group to develop the Verifier software and network infrastructure. The project is expected to take 12 months to complete and will be worth more than half a million dollars.
